Sadness, sacrifice, success!!

Hi friend! It is not too late to wish you ‘selamat hari raya aidilfitri’. May this syawal bring you barakah and happiness. This entry not gonna be a sad, serious or happy entry. It just a random story about life. A life that everybody have different word to definite it and thousand of story to portray about.
Success needs sacrifice! Yes that only a common phrase that we heard since primary school but then I only feel the sweet and sour of the sacrifice now. A big sacrifice I have made to success. Left everything behind to fulfill my dream.
The half way of my journey in semester 1 seems to be quiet interesting and frustrating. Interesting because I got new classmate and new environment and why frustrating?...................hahaha
To my blog mate ropi and wan, thanks a lot for give me this opportunity to be a part of this cute and peaceful blog. Keep up a good writing.
"Failure is not fatal, but failure to change might be."

Do you think you can achieve dean list for this semester??

I want to say yes! yes! yes! Definitely I can. Unfortunately that only empty word if no effort, hard work and consistency come together with my word. But it is not too late to achieve it even though we are already in week 8. Final exam just around the corner!
Personally I really have to work hard, harder and hardest if I want to be in the Dean’s list. So far, my performance for this semester is quiet frustration. Hopefully I manage to improve it or otherwise I will regret it later.
So friend, deans will never waiting us to conferred his award. We are the one to prove that “I’m in the dean’s list!”
Best of luck my dear friend. Nothing impossible to achieved as long as we believe in our self.

Body Mass Index (BMI), Ideal or Not?

Hello and Good Day to All Readers. For this entry, we will share about Body Mass Index (BMI) due to we have passed Ramadan season and now in Hari Raya mood. BMI is also referred to as 'body mass indicator'. BMI is an internationally used measure of obesity.

During fasting month of Ramadan, everyone talked about  their body's weight lost about 1 or 2 kg, and that make them felt happy and satisfied. But, when Ramadan is over and Syawal coming, everybody started to feel worry because a lot of foods such as 'lemang', 'ketupat' and so on which are be a factor to increase their weight.

Here, we share information regarding BMI and how to calculate your BMI to check which categorise you are in BMI class.

Do you know how to calculate BMI?

Body mass index calculation is very straightforward. Calculating body mass index requires only two measurements, height & weight.

Metric Imperial BMI Formula

The metric bmi formula accepts weight measurements in kilograms & height measurements in either cm's or meters.

1 meter = 100cms

meters² = meters * meters

Table: Metric BMI Formula
BMI =
( kg/m² )
weight in kilograms
————————————
height in meters²
For example, my height is 169 cm while weight is 66 kg. We substitute the value into formula,
BMI(kg/m²) =  66 kg
                      169 m X 169 m
            = 23.1 kg/m2
If we refer to BMI table, 23.1 is under class of normal status of body weight.
Table: BMI Weight Status Categories
BMIWeight Status
Below 18.5Underweight
18.5 -24.9Normal
25 - 29.9Overweight
30 & AboveObese

We hope the formula above can help you to calculate your BMI and be more alert regarding your BMI and obesity.
Readers, try to calculate your BMI and feel free to share your BMI here.
Before end of this entry,we hope not to late to say Selamat Hari Raya to all. Thank you and stay health.

Taking Care of Your Teeth

Hello readers. This entry quite interesting especially for those who are really concern about their teeth. When you get your picture taken, everyone says, "Say cheese! Smile!" So you do — you open your mouth and show your teeth. When you see the picture, you see a happy person looking back at you. The healthier those teeth are, the happier you look.

Why is that?

It's because your teeth are important in many ways. If you take care of them, they'll help take care of you. Strong, healthy teeth help you chew the right foods to help you grow. They help you speak clearly. And yes, they help you look your best.

Why Healthy Teeth Are Important??

How does taking care of your teeth help with all those things? Taking care of your teeth helps prevent plaque , which is a clear film of bacteria that sticks to your teeth.
After you eat, bacteria go crazy over the sugar on your teeth, like ants at a picnic. The bacteria break it down into acids that eat away tooth enamel, causing holes called cavities. Plaque also causes gingivitis , which is gum disease that can make your gums red, swollen, and sore. Your gums are those soft pink tissues in your mouth that hold your teeth in place.
If you don't take care of your teeth, cavities and unhealthy gums will make your mouth very, very sore. Eating meals will be difficult. And you won't feel like smiling so much.
Most Important, Always Brush Your Teeth!
To brush teeth, we need a toothpaste. Today there are plenty of toothpaste choices: lots of colors and flavors to choose from, and some are made just for kids. People with great-looking teeth advertise toothpaste on TV commercials and in magazines. When you're choosing a toothpaste, make sure it contains fluoride. Fluoride makes your teeth strong and protects them from cavities.
When you brush, you don't need a lot of toothpaste: just squeeze out a bit the size of a pea. It's not a good idea to swallow the toothpaste, either, so be sure to rinse and spit after brushing.

Thank you!

What I would do to be a better student/human being?

Hello readers, hope all of you are in good health condition. For this entry, I will share about How to be a better student.

Times change. The definition of "student" once was "one who studies something". Today it can mean merely "one who attends a school, college or university". This modern definition doesn't even suggest that the person does more than "attend". College and university professors still use the first definition, and schools have ways (such as requirements, exams and grades) to attempt to ensure that those who attend will also study and learn something.

So, How to be a better student? Does everyone have idea about this?

For me, to be a better student, I just follow simple steps like this:

The four As: attitude, academic skills, awareness, and accomplishment, certainly are a large part of it, and a student who has them will be very likely to earn As:

  • Attitude is primarily a genuine desire to learn, and the willingness to do hard intellectual work to achieve understanding. It is also shown by how well you apply yourself even to subjects in which you have little interest, and how much you can achieve even when a professor's style isn't to your liking.

  • Academic skills include ability to read with comprehension, intelligent use of resources (including library resources), logical and mathematical skills, efficient study habits, and the ability to communicate clearly and fluently in speaking and writing.

  • Awareness of what's going on in the world around you, and the habit of intelligently relating it to your academic courses. For example, when taking a course in political science, you should relate what you are learning in class to what's happening on the national and world political scene. When taking a science course, you should relate scientific principles to phenomena you observe in everyday life, and go out of your way to find applications and examples of science in the real world.

  • Accomplishment is demonstrated by successful application of understanding. The evidence of that is:
    1. Correct and confident application of what you've learned to new problems and challenges,
    2. clear and effective communication of your understanding through speaking and writing, and
    3. possession of a base of information, skills and understanding sufficient to allow you to continue your education outside of the classroom, throughout your life.

All of these add up to a fifth A: ability, a word frequently used above. The goal of education is to achieve the ability to apply one's knowledge in new, creative, and correct ways. Abilities are not entirely innate; some are achievable through dedicated and focused effort.

Work to be educated, not merely trained.-- Donald E. Simanek, April 15, 1997.

Thank you and Happy reading.

Practice Good Foot Care

It's as simple as that! Your poor feet deserve good foot care!
You deserve really happy feet!
In fact, you deserve good foot and you'll feel happy when walk and doing your job...

Better foot care may prevent many foot problems

Years of wear and tear can be hard on our feet. So can:
  • ü   disease
  • ü  poor circulation
  • ü  improperly trimmed toenails
  • ü  wearing shoes that do not fit properly

Problems with our feet can be the first sign of more serious medical conditions such as:

Blood Circulation of Feet

·         It also helps to keep blood circulating to your feet as much as possible. You can do this by:

  • ·         putting your feet up when you are sitting or lying down
  • ·         stretching if you've had to sit for a long while walking
  • ·         having a gentle foot massage
  • ·         taking a warm foot bath
  • ·         Other Foot Care Tips
  • ·         Try to avoid pressure from shoes that do not fit right.
  • ·         Try not to expose your feet to cold temperatures.
  • ·         Do not sit for long periods of time (especially with your legs crossed).
  • ·         Do not smoke.
  • ·         Wearing comfortable shoes that fit well can prevent many foot ailments.
  • ·         Proper Shoe Fit
  • ·         Here are some tips for getting a proper shoe fit:
  • ·         The size of your feet changes as you grow older so always have your feet measured before buying shoes.
  • ·         The best time to measure your feet is at the end of the day when your feet are largest.
  • ·         Most of us have one foot that is larger than the other, so fit your shoe to your larger foot.
  • ·         Do not select shoes by the size marked inside the shoe but by how the shoe fits your foot.
  • ·         Select a shoe that is shaped like your foot.
  • ·         During the fitting process, make sure there is enough space for your longest toe to reach at the end of each shoe when you are standing up.
  • ·         Make sure the ball of your foot fits comfortably into the widest part of the shoe.
  • ·         Do not buy shoes that feel too tight and expect them to stretch to fit.
  • ·         Your heel should fit comfortably in the shoe with a minimum amount of slipping - the shoes should not ride up and down on your heel when you walk.
  • ·         Walk in the shoes to make sure they fit and feel right. Then take them home and spend some time walking on carpet to make sure the fit is a good one.

Other Shoe Fit Tips

  • ·         The upper part of the shoes should be made of a soft, flexible material to match the shape of your foot.
  • ·         Shoes made of leather can reduce the possibility of skin irritations.
  • ·         Soles should provide solid footing and not be slippery.
  • ·         Thick soles cushion your feet when walking on hard surfaces.
  • ·         Low-heeled shoes are more comfortable, safer, and less damaging than high-heeled shoes.

 Thank you..

Why don’t we go for EXTREME!!!!!!!!

Pet, its kind a hobby practiced by all the homosapiens which is to kept an animal mostly a mammals, in their house and treat them as a family. Examples of these animal that being kept as a pet are, cat, dog, fish, monkey, rabbit, squirrel and other cute cuddle mammals. The youngsters are the most eager to perform this hobby. They like to treat their pet as a part of their family, which consists of sharing their bedroom with animal, and also even sleep with their pet. Having a pet, is one of good things to do as long we treat them and feed them well. But there are some human beings that are disgrace to our humanity, where they like to abuse this cute poor little animal. Even in our religion, it is wrong when you treat an animal badly.

Hence, among the category of animal which exist in our world, mammals, reptiles, fish, amphibians, and also insect, mammals are the most preferable by all human to make as a pet. This is because, a mammals is an animal that easy to be tamed. Besides that, we as a human also are categorized as a mammals. Maybe because of this, a mammal animal are easy to blend with our daily life.

However, there are some that like to go for extreme pet. Extreme pet mostly are from reptiles, which are, snake, monitor, iguana, bearded dragon, blue tongue skink, and others. Despite reptiles, there are also other animal which may be categorized as an exotic animal, such as centipede, frog, spider, scorpion and salamander.

For me, I would like to go for an Extreme!!!. Therefore, I have a snake, an iguana, a scorpion and bearded dragon as my pet. I bought them since they were small. I named my iguana ‘Iqran’ and my ball python snake, ‘shiny’. I call my bearded dragon, ‘rocky’. The 8 feet python, I gave to my cousin because my mother are scared of it, while the bearded dragon I gave to my friend, since I am continuing my study. Therefore I only have an iguana with me. Reptiles, are the most aggressive animal. They don’t like to be handed and to be kept in a cage. Therefore, a great effort has to take in order to tame this animal. At first, I also had trouble taming my pets, but eventually I manage to convince them, that they are save with me. As an example, ‘Iqran” will scratch the cage if he wants to go out and he will stick out his tongue to tell me that he is hungry.

Despite that, to make him rely on me, I would take a bath with him every day and at night he will sleep with me on the same bed. I love my Iqran so much. Eventhough, now I seldom at home, when I come back from the campus, he still recognized me. To all there who need guide in taming this little cute creature, I am happy to offering the help. As an animal lovers, I gathered many information on keeping an exotic animal as a pet, so that I could provide a safe and comfort environment to my pet. Finally, lets go for EXTREME!!!!!!!!!!!
